I am currently having lessons with Ernest Dillon.

Name - Nic Owen

Started riding at 6 years old. Have always owned horses - hence constantly poor! Have had these three horses since they were all very young, didn't intentialy buy any of them. Two were swaps for old Grade B's and one was a problem horse. I am trained by Pauline Ricketts - makes lessons fun. I only compete for fun now, as i start in the Police in August.

Name - Michelle Prentice

I work alongside Margaret Burrows of Sandridgebury Stables in Hertfordshire where I started in 2006, with her show horses and ponies . We currently have,
Secret Weapon - winner of the 2008 Royal International Horse Show in the small native coloured class who was also 6th this year,
Oakville Red Ruby - a 5 year old Chestnut section B mare who is just starting her showing career under saddle with a very good in hand record before unfortunately contracting equine tonsilitis and being ill for the remainder of last season, missing out on all her big shows. She has done extreamly well this year winning everything under saddle qualifying for the Chiltern rider champs.
Megland Vanity - a 5 year old lead rein show pony, who has done very well with her new jockey also qualifying for her class at the champs.

For three years I studied at Oaklands College attending the National Certificate in Horse Care and Management, achieving a Distinction overall, and the National Diploma in Horse Management achieving a Distinction/Merit/Merit. I have also attained my BHS stages up to stage 3 in both care and riding along with the PTT. I have just completed my 500 hours of teaching, which now enables me to be an AI.

I have been competing in affiliated showing classes since 1998 with a friends Dartmoor Pony, Briars Money Spinner and later in 2004 started to compete my own Section D Trevenning Morning Glory to a very high standard being the only person to win my age section in the Harry Hall Best Rider for 3 consecutive years. One of our aims is to continue this with Oakville Red Ruby next year. I then went on to gain champion Heritage at the Royal County of Berkshire in 2006 and qualifying for the Royal International Horse Show. We also won Herts County that year. At this time I had to make the decision that it would be best to rest my section D after a severe injury to both hind legs and concentrate on Margaret's young 4 year old coloured pony Secret Weapon, or Milo as he is known to all at home. He was brought on slowly winning nearly all his classes in his first year. We then decided to enter some International qualifiers and were lucky to qualify for the Royal International Horse Show first time out affiliated. Then awarded champion at the Herts County Show and won his class at the Royal International Horse Show. He has also been placed 4th in his first Side Saddle Show at the National Side Saddle Championships in 2008.

We have High hopes for the ponies this year, our aim is to Qualify for the Horse of the Year Show with Milo and to get 'Ruby' and Milo to the Royal International Horse Show.
